For
over ten years, I have traversed the media industry bringing my charisma and
expertise to a variety of established and start-up companies including SS+K,
SONY, Sonic Foundry, Intertainer and THEY. An expert in launching,
marketing and selling interactive products and services, I understand
marketing strategy, advertising, strategic-partnership building and content
development.
Currently
I am the vice president of marketing for the Los Angeles office of SS+K, an
integrated marketing and communications firm with clients including the
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Citibank, Delta Air Lines, Lance
Armstrong Foundation, msnbc.com, Starwood Hotels and Working Assets. In April 2007, I led the strategic
marketing and digital efforts for msnbc.com’s ‘A Fuller
Spectrum of News’ campaign and am working on a new brand and product
launch for Working Assets Wireless.
Prior
to joining SS+K, I held a senior marketing position at Sony Corporation of America. My energy was
focused on building integrated marketing and CRM strategies for Sony
Pictures Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures Home
Entertainment, Movielink, The Game Show Network and Sony Computer
Entertainment America. In addition, I helped oversee the re-launch of the
Sony Card with Bank One through a national campaign that included on-air,
online, print and promotional partnerships.
Before
my time at Sony, I served as the president and co-founder of THEY, an award
winning integrated marketing services company whose clients included
Excite@Home, Game Show Network, History Channel, Los Angeles Convention and
Visitors Bureau, NASA, PacketVideo, Spiderdance and Vivendi Universal
Television. As President of THEY, I was responsible for overseeing
marketing, new business development and strategic alliances. While at THEY,
I was awarded the Hall of Fame Honoree by the National Association of Women
Business Owners.
At
Intertainer, I served as the vice president of marketing, an entertainment
on demand broadband company. I oversaw all marketing efforts including
publicity, advertising, branding, promotions and trade shows which resulted
in the company’s widespread recognition among content providers,
distribution partners and trade media. In this role, I launched public
relations programs with BSMG Worldwide and an advertising campaign with
TBWA/Chiat.
Prior
to Intertainer, I was the director of marketing for STV Communications, a
premier streaming media company recently acquired for $67 million by Sonic
Foundry. I began my career in the new media industry at Davidson &
Associates (now Havas Interactive), a leading software publisher. I also
served as a business development consultant at educational software
distributor Forest Technologies.
I am
also affiliated with leading industry organizations, including the National
Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Women in Technology (WINT),
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) and International
Interactive Communications Society (IICS).
I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and am very happy to be residing in Brentwood, CA with my dog Lilly.
